The German climber Markus Bock grabbed the eighth ascent of Wolfgang Gullich's Action Directe 9a in the Frankenjura last Friday. This was the third ascent in a week after Richard Simpson and Dai Koyamda. Bock is no stranger to hard ascents, he climbed the first ascent of Unplugged 9a, repeated by Richardson Simpson also last week.
Dai Koyamda had this to say at Freak Climbing, "It is the hardest route I've ever done. I have done three 9a's and 16 8c+'s and I think that Action Directe is the hardest one of all these."
