999 Mountain Rescue please

© Glossop Mountain Rescue Team
Glossop Mountain Rescue Team (GMRT) celebrates its Golden jubilee in 2007 with the launch of a new book and the opening of a new HQ for rescue operations.

GMRT has been rescuing in the Peak National park for 50 years and is one of the oldest teams in the country. After having their old HQ condemned the team of volunteers have raised funds for a new HQ in Glossop Derbyshire.

To mark the occasion and raise funds, the team has written a light hearted book called '999 Mountain Rescue please'.

Have a chuckle at the team's exploits over the years and see what it happens if you ever need Mountain rescue in the UK .

You can support Glossop MR and buy the book online now at www.gmrt.org.uk
