Andy Earl Climbs Beautiful New 8B in Northumberland

© earl-andrewearl.blogspot.com
Andy Earl has climbed a stunningly beautiful and hard new boulder problem at Shaftoe Crags in Northumberland (crag details here).

Andy wrote:

"Well after a week of really funny weather I have been lucky to be trying the fastest drying bloc in Northumberland, I did the stand up two weeks ago and thinking it might go from a sitter"

Indeed it did, on Sunday 24th June. He has christened the problem, Blood Sport and proposed a grade of Font 8b. It is located on Turtle Rock.

You can see sequence photos of Blood Sport at Andy's blog: earl-andrewearl.blogspot.com

Close down the internet, burn all the magazine HQ's and the printing plants, throw away your mobile, tape up everyone's mouth and cut their hands off so that they can't even write, ban professional climbers, murder all the climbing journalists, books on the bonfire, put your TV on the dump.......
