McClure Flashes 8b+ at Kilnsey

+Steve McClure on Mecca Extension (8c) during the filming of 'Magic Numbers' from the Psyche dvd., 95 kb Steve McClure has flashed Dr Crimp 8b+ at Kilnsey in Yorkshire. Dr Crimp was climbed for the first time by Gaz Parry two weeks ago (Gaz Parry News Report).

Steve commented: "“Apparently 'Dr Crimp' is a hard and fingery route. Just my style. After climbing my latest 9a/9a+ route I guessed my fingers were up to it. Worth a flash attempt? That's always the question, blow all your energy and not get it, then fail the redpoint, or work it from the start and go for the quick tick..."
