Leah Crane and Ned Feehally won the British Mountaineering Council's British Bouldering Championships at the Cliffhanger event at Millhouses Park, Sheffield this weekend.
It was a close call, coming down to the final problem in both the Senior events, with Katy Whittaker (second) and Diane Merrick (third) both putting in very strong performances. In the Male Senior event Dave Barrans, who came third in the Bouldering World Championship at Xining, Quighai China last week, faltered on a long reach on his final problem which Ned Feehally then needed to complete to win the title. Feehally got the problem second go and retained his title as British Bouldering Champion that he won last year : see video below for the winning ascent.
Gaz Parry got third place.
