Scotland's first National Park opens

Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park was opened this week by Princess Anne. It's Scotland's first National Park, covering 720 square miles, spreading from Crianlarich in the north to Balloch in the south. There are 21 mountains and 33 hills in the boundary, as well as Loch Lomond.

The controversey over the massively reduced Cairngorm National Park, due to open in 2003 continues.
