As of today, Kevin Jorgeson and Tommy Caldwell are back in Yosemite for their second assault of Mescalito, a climb that, when it goes free, will set a new standard for multi-pitch routes. Trust me.
Kevin says they don't expect to succeed during this (short) spring season, but that they're focusing on getting the whole thing dialed, moving in for the kill in Oct/Nov. He also says he's in great bouldering form, but that this pebble is slightly taller than even Ambrosia...
