Watson, currently ranking in third place behind Czech phenomenon Adam Ondra and Austrian powerhouse Killian Fischuber, has had a remarkable competition series so far, with a great 4th place result in last weeks comp - see UKC News.
Dave Barrans, the UK's other highest ranking bouldering competitor, will also be attending the competition, although it was a close run thing - he initially thought he wouldn't be able to compete due to the expense of the travel, but told UKC "we finally got some funding so I could afford to do it!".
Killian Fischuber and Adam Ondra have been battling it out for first place with an interesting difference in climbing style that was shown in the video in this earlier UKC News Item.
The women's event has been dominated by the Japanese climber Akiyo Noguchi, closely followed by US climber Alex Johnson, who will no doubt be fighting hard to gain some points on home turf.
A full report will be available after the event.
