9 October, K2 in Stockholm hosted the Nordic bouldering championships.

Among the men, the line-up was strong, but pretty much everyone expected the final to be Magnus Midtboe-show. The man has done both 9b and 8C this autumn, remember? The only possible threat, now that Nalle Hukkataival couldn't come, was expected to be Finnish prodigy Anthony Gullsten, who've climbed multiple 8B's as well as 8c+ this summer.

Daniel Andersson, competing in front of his home crowd, had other plans however.

Qualifying in a modest 4th spot, he turned it on in the final and flashed all four problems, thereby crushing all opposition. Great success!

Also, among the women, it was a Swedish success, and a double victory even, with Anja Hodann beating Matilda Söderlund into 2nd place by the slimmest of margins, with Hannah Midtboe taking the bronze.
