Parisella's Cave - New Problem for Chris Daviesby Jack Geldard - UKC Chief Editor Aug/2012This news story has been read 2,500 times Chris Davies has added a new problem to the limestone bouldering venue of Parisella's Cave. This steep bit of rock just keeps on giving, and now has a new 8A+ problem called The Last Stand.
Chris Davies has been active in the development of this cave for many years now and was excited that the new problem will "lead to a whole host of link ups!" We asked him for a bit more info: "Basically the photos show the starting position i.e. Pull on with a reasonable undercut for your left, and a really poor pinch for the right (towards the end of the sit start crux section). Then just power up with your right hand to the ramp (middle sloper/pinch is easiest to catch), followed by a tricky match. I finished it up the Left Wall Traverse. I'm unsure of the grade, but in my mind 8a+ seems reasonable, although again, times have changed in there. As for a name – 'The Last Stand' sounds good'! The sit start remains the obvious challenge."
