We have just seen on the BigUp Productions Instagram that Adam Ondra has succeeded on this project. Perhaps 9b+, maybe harder? Maybe the hardest route in the world!
So is it the hardest route in the world?
Who better to ask than the man himself:
Congrats Adam! How would you compare this route to Change*
Thanks! For me [this route is] harder than 'Change', but still 9b+.
'Change' fits my style better and has some special awkward moves.
In general, for other climbers, it could be about the same :-)
Personally I'm sure Adam is right in that 'Change' and 'La Dura Dura' would feel about equally difficult to most climbers...
* Change, which was climbed by Adam last autumn is the only other route in the world that has been given 9b+. So far, Adam is the only climber in the world who has climbed this grade.
