I think he climbs fast so that there is no hesitation in his climbing, no time to think (about falling off or other distracting thoughts) and so he can get into a really good flow on the route. A shirt would weigh you down too much on a 9b :)

This deserves a bump. Excellent effort! Although Adam climbs quickly, I don't think the text explaining that it was normal climbing speed was necessary.. Looks like normal 'I know the route well' speed to me!

I thought it looked sped up at the point that the text popped up. I was initially inclined not to believe the text but then reflected upon it.
