Nalle Hukkataival has made the first ascent of BŁgeleisen sds at Maltatal in southern Austria. This was one of the most famous projects in the world of bouldering. Until now! Being a man of few words, he commented: "YEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ".
Last year Nalle managed to repeat Klem Loskot's original problem, BŁgeleisen, ~8B+, calling it One of the best hard boulders in the world!. The sit only makes it better.
The main problem for Nalle has been that the boulder is almost always wet, but this time it seems to have been at least dry enough to climb on.
Yesterday I managed to climb my longest standing project, the sit start to BŁgeleisen! This line has been a well known project for at least 13 years. I've tried it over a couple years, every time challenged by the weather. It turned out to be the biggest battle I've ever had with a climb, both mentally and physically. It's hard to believe that it's done now!BŁgeleisen sit start could be the hardest thing I've climbed and more importantly it is one of the best boulders in the world! Huge respect to Klem Loskot for the original vision! Stay tuned for the video!
