She comes across as really honest and humble. It's very endearing.
Absorbing, honest, and emotional story. This is probably editing for the UKC post, but why is there such a big gap in the timeline between the operation and the launch into climbing her 8c project? I'd love to see the full account...
Inspiring film for anyone who has struggled with injury and the sense of losing a bit of yourself when you have to stop climbing. Beautifully paced with a particularly interesting interview with the Physio, Pablo Scorza. And not too much music to distract from the climbing!
Inspiring climber. She could do with working in the business side of being a professional climber if she has to live like that though!
Amazing video - I really enjoyed watching that - i'm currently 1 week post op after a left shoulder SLAP repair.
It's really inspiring to see someone climb a route right back at their (very) high standards after this injury - gives me a lot of hope that I can do the same.
Can't wait to get back to it, but it is a slow process - it took me 2 years to get back to a decent standard after my right shoulder SLAP repair in 2015.
Someone earlier asked why did it take so long for Hazel to get on her 8c after the op - my own experience is it just takes a lot longer than you think. The tissues heal but you have to learn to use the shoulder again.
