Tim Emmett claims new E9 at Trearddur Bay

Timeoutdoors.com report that Tim Emmett has done a new route on Anglesey at Trearddur Bay. It takes a counter diagonal line to George Smith's super-steep The Treacherous Underfoot. Tim's route is very sustained with French 8a+ climbing and he has offered a grade of E9 6c. Other routes on this 60 foot wall have been predominantly protected with pegs, but it's not known whether Tim's line is fully pegged or has a mix of pegs and natural protection. He reckons it is the hardest route on Anglesey, if not in North Wales. Other contenders on Anglesey might be Extinction, Steve Mayers' E8 on Gogarth Main Cliff or some of the very steep routes in Zen Zawn.
