Two of the UK's top young Alpinists - Jules Cartwright and Rich Cross spent 11 days (!) on an Alpine style push to make what is the most significant first ascent in Nepal for a long time. They ran out of food on the last two days, but strung out high on the mountain, pushed for the top in the knowledge that they could quickly descend via fixed ropes on the normal route.
An amazing effort - British Alpinism is alive and kicking!
