Alpine Lecture Series - The Alps and Beyond...

Steve Bell made winter ascents of the North Face of the Matterhorn when he was aged 17 and the Eiger when he was just 20. 20 years on and he has climbed all seven summits, runs the successful mountaineering company Jagged Globe and hopes to nail Right Wall this year. Libby Peter is one of a handful of British women who are IFMGA guides. She's most at home cranking hard on rock, new routing on unexplored crags in Scotland or tackling 8000m peaks in the Himalayas.

Through March, Steve and Libby are presenting the BMC's Alpine Lecture Series - an entertaining and interactive introduction to the Alpine environment and an insight into preparing for adventures further afield.

Dates:
5 March - Manchester Uni, 6 March - Uni of Central Lancs, 7 March - Uni of Nottingham, 12 March - Uni College London, 13 March - Uni of Bath, 14 March - Uni of Exeter
