Andy Turner has repeated Thing on a Spring (E6 6c/7a), first put up by Simon Nadin at the Roaches Lower Tier. It's a wall climb up the wall to the right of the corner of Valkyrie - look at it, it's desperate.
Since the loss of a pebble at the hands of Paul Clark (then glued back on, unsuccessfully) it had looked "impossible in its current state". Andy however found the solution - a dyno to a dire sloper. Not bad at this time of year when most people would say it's too hot for grit. Andy says he did it on lead after "40 or 50 attempts" on toprope when he held the hold 4 or 5 times.
