This week's Friday Nighter has already been on the site in the past week but is that good that we thought we'd feature it here. Samsara tells the story of an unsuccessful attempt on the dramatic Shark's Fin on Meru Peak in the Garwhal Himalaya in 2008. The climbers were Conrad Anker, Jimmy Chin and Renen Osturk and last week the same team returned to make a successful ascent of this magnificent line ( - UKC News report here).

The film features Renen Osturk's beautiful illustrations and won the Best Mountain Film award at Kendal Mountain Festival in 2009 and many other awards. You can see more of Renen's artwork here on his Rock Monkey Art web site.
