James Pearson had a good day at the French limestone sport cliff of Cantobre on the 12th of December with some stylish onsights up to 8b.

James commented:

"It was my first ever visit to the cliff and I was very excited to climb on the pockets - quite an unusual style for these parts."

The cliff is described in the Rockfax guidebook as "A superb, bulging orange-wall with stacks of hard routes to go at. An obvious place to head for winter sun."

James onsighted four routes - Les Dernieres Plantations du Christ (8a), Mission Impossible (8a+), Torticolis (8a+), and finally CO2 Max (8b).

Well done James!

James' next trip is to Asia. He told UKC:

"I will be travelling with Caroline Ciavaldini to check out and climb in several new areas in Malaysia and Laos, and Thailand.  We will leave on the 2nd of January and be away until mid February."

James is going to keep in touch with UKC with some updates from his trip - watch this space.
