Esclatamasters 9a & a song!Fri Night Vid

Okay - Friday night, Easter weekend. You shouldn't be in reading UKC, you should be driving to Malham, Pembroke, North Wales, Peak District, Glen Coe, Torridon, or somewhere! So - out you go!

Anyway, for Fri Night Vid this week, we have a pair of contrasting videos, one is of Spanish super climber Ramon Julian on the very difficult 9a Esclatamasters at Perles, Spain. The other is a bit of fun, a climbing song!

Esclatamasters is the 9a that British climber James Pearson recently redpointed (UKC News).

And here Camilla Mathias sings about the perils of learning to rock climb. Recorded at Green Climbers Home, Tha Khaek, Laos, with the local climbing community.

Very nice, very artistic. Do we ever get to see somebody struggle on a route? Chris

I did think it was slightly pretentious (maybe the wrong word). This is the same route taken with a compact camera in ten minutes. Sorry, I cut out the rests. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGaBJJzdZzA&list=UUDMoECs86NI_BhGab-mKpYA&index=3&feature=plcp
