GB Bouldering announces major new sponsor for 2012

Lonsdale China is an offshoot of the well known UK brand Lonsdale, which makes boxing equipment. Lonsdale's entry into the China market comes at a time when the outdoor sector there is seeing exponential growth. Lonsdale China opened 76 shops last year.

GB Bouldering will supply Lonsdale China with images from IFSC events in return for a much needed injection of cash. The deal will allow GB Bouldering to compete in more events and focus more on training and preparation and less on raising finance for air fares.

Lonsdale China are already reaping the media rewards of GB Bouldering's best ever season, as Shauna Coxsey continues her run of outstanding results. Her fourth place in Vienna on 28 April follows her second place the week before in Slovenia. Coxsey is currently fourth in the overall rankings.

GB Bouldering is looking forward to working with their new partners over the next five years and welcomes the financial stability that will allow our best boulderers to focus on performing their best.

The team continues to look for more sponsors closer to home, as does the GB Lead Climbing team. Companies interested in backing our international climbing teams are always welcome to get in touch.
