Felipe Camargo repeats El Bon Combat (9b)
Brazilian Felipe Camargo has made the 3rd ascent of El Bon Combat at Cova de Ocell, Spain. The route was first climbed by Chris Sharma in 2015 and was repeated by Jakob Schubert in 2018.
Recently Felipe Camargo made the first ascent of Libertadores, Font 8B+, at Ouro Preto, Brazil. The problem is most likely the hardest in the country.
The city of Ouro Preto in the Minas Gerais region, roughly 300km north of Rio de Janeiro, is a place full of history. This was a center of the Brazilian gold mining industry in the 17th and 18th centuries. Gold that was mined by slaves and shipped to Portugal.
The boulder is called liberators...because underneath the boulder we found a chain...that they used to hold the slave...

Looks like a really cool, but potentially frustrating, problem! How many times did you fall on the move to the sloper?
Yeah man...frustrating...hard on the head game.
It took me 4 days...1 day just trying to figure out the last move and the other 2 falling on it from the bottom.
On the 4th day I stuck the move on my 3rd and last try due to skin problems ahha...last minute call!
