El Nino on El Capitan For McManus and McHaffieNewsflash

Reported on Hazel Findlay's Facebook Page is the news that British climbers James McHaffie and Dan McManus have made a free ascent of El Nino on El Capitan. The duo have only just got down to the ground after an awesome ascent of Salathé Wall (UKC News).

El Nino is graded 5.13c (8a+) and was first climbed by the Huber Brothers back in 1998 and hit the headlines in the UK when young Brits Leo Houlding and Patch Hammond made the second ascent in very good style, just after the Huber's had freed the line.

Hopefully more on James and Dan's stunning ascent soon - well done lads!

Oo, this sounds interesting. Could there be a British/World first in the offing? Either way, top effort.
