Today and tomorrow (27th and 28th June) sees the eighth and final round of the IFSC Bouldering World Cup held in Laval, France.

The question on everyone's lips is 'will Shauna Coxsey win the World Cup or will Akiyo Nouguchi manage to retain her lead and take the overall title?'.

Britain's top competitor Shauna Coxsey is currently in second place overall after Akiyo Noguchi pipped her to 1st place by taking gold in last weekend's round in Haiyang, China (UKC News Report).

If Shauna finishes this final competition in the top three, and ahead of current leader Akiyo Noguchi, then she will win the women's Bouldering World Cup for 2014.

Competing for Great Britain will be Shauna Coxsey, Diane Merrick, Micheala Tracy, Jen Wood, Dave Barrans, Jon Partridge, Tom Newman and Nathan Phillips.

The qualification round takes place today, with the women climbing in the morning and the men in the afternoon. On Saturday, the semi-finals and finals will take place and these will be live streamed below.

Good luck Shauna, we are all right behind you!

Great final, I can't believe the women's gold medal for the season came down the last problem. Nail biting!
