Just in time for the Scottish winter season, we have an exclusive extract from Hot Aches Productions' film Distilled. Featuring alpinist Andy Cave, we see his journey from the coal mines in Yorkshire to the peaks of the European Alps and the Himalayas.

In this extract, Andy climbs Crest Route (V 7) (V 6) in Stob Coire nan Lochan.

In reply to UKC NewS Bought the video and it's a really good watch. Like that he does classic routes. It gives a frame of reference to the climber watcher. I did Tower Ridge back in 1984; who knows, maybe we were on the route at the same time!

Did this route 3 weeks ago, thought it was brilliant. How great to have a video of it! A shame it didn't show the gnarly crux move at the top of pitch 3.
