UV CLIMB PARTY...Craggy's Fifth Birthday....7th November
Yep hard to believe, but Craggy Island is now 5 years old and as much as we all like birthday cake we thought just stuffing our faces was not good enough for a fifth birthday. So we have joined forces with Chase and Christophers Hospice in Guildford to help raise funds and awareness for the charity as well as having a heap of fun into the bargain.
Craggy will be donating £1 from every entry on the day and donating 36 instructed session spaces to friends relatives and carers of patients. We will also be encouraging members to wear fancy dress with spot prizes for the best efforts! Chase will have a stand explaining their activities and the cafe will be selling cakes (well we couldn't give up totally with the cake thing), the proceeds of which will also be going to Chase. Yes thats right, guilt free cake, you'll only be eating it for charity!
Beyond that we will also be rigging the centre with ultra violet lighting for a funky climbing party thing at the end of the day. Nic in the cafe will be making pizzas and we're looking at setting up a bar for apres climb beers. So come on over on the 7th and help us celebrate 5 years of great climbing and raise a few quid for charity. We will be trying to establish numbers for the crazy ulta violet climbing party bit so please let us know if you intend to come via facebook or at reception at Guildford.
