Paul and his expedition partner Carol Hurst (also disabled and using a trike) will travel the 'Friendship Highway from Lhasa in Tibet to Kathmandu in Nepal, across no less than 8 high passes (3 above 5,300M) and even passing Everest base camp.
Paul and Carol are hoping to film the trip and then Paul will be taking the film on tour around the world to promote positive role models for disabled people.
In order to fund the filming, Paul and Carol need to raise $8,000 dollars by the Tuesday 30th August 2011. So far a total of $5,745 has been raised, but we need that extra push to get them across the finishing line and send them off to Tibet on such a worthwhile project.
Can You Help?
If you'd like to pledge a few quid, check out this link: www.kickstarter.com, where more details are available, a short explanatory video featuring Paul himself, and where you can pledge your cash to the project.
Even if you can't pledge any cash, you can log on and send a goodwill message to the team.
If we can pledge enough, I reckon we could encourage Paul to come over on his next trip and show the film back at home. Let's make it happen!
