Climbers were treated to World class coaching sessions by Johnny Dawes and Andy Kirkpatrick, along with those making first steps outdoors from plastic to rock. Families and friends encouraged each other up, under and through the obstacles of Thornbridge Outdoors whilst mountain bikers received invaluable skills from Campbell Coaching before being guided around some of the best trails in the Peak by Ed Oxley. After a long day of activities there was a feature packed evening program of entertainment including lectures, 2 hours of films from the best of SHAFF and bands headlined by the stars of BBC 2's Dragon's Den, BassToneSlap on Saturday evening.
Nick Smith, one of Alpkit directors, said:
“This weekend was all we could have hoped for. We couldn't have asked for a better crowd, everyone just got into the vibe of the event. The atmosphere around the campfire on Saturday night was electric as people listened to the music and shared the stories of their day.”
