Osprey has designed the hipbelt really well. Additionally to the gear loop, there are multiple loops specifically for ice screw karabiners. This helps avoid the problem of pressure points from the hipbelt pressing onto the ice screw karabiners in the climbing harness. Overall the Mutant 38 is a great, very light, all-round alpine pack for me.” |
