Applications for Hanwag's first ever Alpine Experience are now open

Bavarian boot-maker Hanwag has opened applications for its exclusive Alpine Experience 2014 event which will take place between the 14th and 17th of September. Offering you the opportunity to tackle the Zugspitze - Germany's highest peak - places on the Alpine Challenge will be strictly limited to just 36 participants. With four routes to the summit to choose from, the 36 Alpine Experience participants will be divided into four teams, each led by a dedicated mountain guide.

The Alpine Experience 2014 offers an exciting opportunity for any climber or mountaineer to push themselves to the limit. At the mountain's summit all four teams will celebrate their achievements, enjoying a traditional Bavarian breakfast party while taking in the stunning alpine scenery.

The overall cost of the event is €190 and you will need to register by 15th August 2014. The participation cost includes:

  • Three nights accommodation (2x hotel, 1x en route)
  • All food and drink including snacks
  • Provision of state-certified mountain guides
  • Hire of Black Diamond climbing equipment
  • Summit party

n.b. participants will be required to make their own way to Munich Airport.
