The Climbing Station is a lively bouldering centre in Loughborough. We are looking to expand our small team with a self-motivated and enthusiastic Climbing Wall Assistant. The role will be up to 35 hours per week including evenings and weekends.

The job will primarily involve instructing groups and reception duties, but may also include coaching and route setting opportunities for the right candidate.

Job Description

• Instructing quality climbing sessions in line with company policy and procedures, including basic coaching for adults and juniors
• General reception duties, telephone enquiries and cash handling
• Signing in existing and new customers in line with company policy
• Café duties
• Working with management to ensure the smooth running of the centre
• Providing exceptional customer service throughout

Essential Attributes for the Role

• CWI (formally CWA) or SPA qualification with first aid
• Have experience running groups in a climbing wall environment
• Be willing to work hours outside of regular shifts to cover large group bookings or staff absence
• An outgoing and colourful personality
• Be a keen climber

• Foundation Coach Award

• Previous route setting experience
• Experience using Rock Gym Pro
• Some experience in Graphic Design and Social Media Promotion
