Rock Over Climbing - Duty Managers and Instructors Required

Rock Over Climbing is looking for motivated, enthusiastic and flexible people to join our Team.

Rock Over Climbing is a fast growing bouldering, climbing and activity centre that has ambition. As well as being one of the premier UK bouldering centres, we host one of the largest climbing events in the UK the ROCfest. Within our portfolio we also:

• Are a fully licensed bar

• Operate a cafe

• Have an ever popular play area

• Run trips to locations such as font

• Run outdoor climbing courses

• Deliver sold out kids clubs

• Run a junior climbing academy that has won many of the local winter leagues and develop team GB climbers

• Deliver group sessions for up to 60 people at a time

Duty Manager

Duty Managers have responsibility for the operation of the centre during opening hours and act as the designated First Aider. The Duty Manager coordinates all the day’s activities for both staff and customers; they ensure that safety procedures are followed and that Rock Over Climbing and its staff provides a welcoming, friendly and efficient service for our customers. You will also be expected to sell Rock Over Climbing products and courses and work with the staff to promote Rock Over Climbing.
Requirements:

• experience of instructing (SPA or CWA desirable)

• experience of coaching

• experience running birthday parties and working with all ages of children and adults

• knowledge of sales

• ability to ensure high standards of H&S are maintained at all times

• ability to lead and motivate a team of staff people and resolve conflicts diplomatically and without fuss

• high standards of cleanliness

• first aid certificate and experience of managing incidents

• excellent written and oral communication skills

• experience of handling cash

• ability to run a busy centre, take on a heavy workload all while maintaining a positive attitude


Instructors

As an instructor you will work with our team in the fun and professional delivery of all our sessions. You may also be asked to undertake some reception duties.

Requirements:

• experience of instructing (SPA or CWA desirable)

• experience of coaching

• experience running birthday parties and working with all ages of children and adults

• knowledge of sales

• valid first aid certificate

• ability to run fun and educational sessions that make people want to come back

Remuneration will be based on experience.
