What would you ask Santa for?

So far all I've got is some good espresso coffee and the Cycling Anthology....trying to keep it reasonable but it's for someone who's a bit of a biking geek.

Looking forward to some inspiration

Read already. Those silly bits when you're on a ride you think, "I wish I had...." would be ideal.

In reply to Solar: Spare KMC chain link (which fortunately someone had when my chain snapped last week)?

These:

http://www.evanscycles.com/categories/accessories/lights/f/infini

Which are amazing - I have two red ones on my helmet (fnarr) - unobtrusive when they're not on but super bright when they are.

In reply to andy:
Chain links sound good - would never have thought if that

Already has lights which could be used for the illuminations so no need for anymore.

Found cycling top trumps which looks good.

In reply to Solar:

One of the new Vaseline lip salves - don't know about anyone else but my nose streams when it's cold - stops sore noses and lips. The little tins are great but no good once on the move.

Decathlon LED armbands - for the wrists, as turn indicators (about £7/pair)

Shoe covers - the windstopper ones that just do the forefoot.

A pair or two of Bolle Contour glasses - one clear, one smoked. £8/pair.

In reply to Solar:

Are they a MTB, road cyclist or both?

You could always get them mountain bike guide to an area they are not too familair with (yet!).

Or if they like hill climbs on the road bike. You could always get the 100 best hill climbs book.

These take about a week to come from France so you might struggle to get them for Chistmas but no cycling geek should be without some of these...
