I am looking for an adventure/gravel bike frame as want to build up a bike for my husband but are there any that are British made...as in made here and not just designed here?!

I don't think Condor are made in the UK - their smart stainless frames are made in Italy, that I don know

Try Kinesis bikes uk. They make gravel/adventure bikes and I have used mine to cycle from here to Italy and they seem bomb proof. Mine is aluminium but they make titanium ones as well. Depends on your budget.

I have the second gen escapade and it is indeed lovely. Not super quick on road but a total blast off road and pretty capable... did a 500m descent doen a skiing red run the other day!

I'm not sure what needs explained? They're not made in Somerset and they're about as uncool as bikes come. Dull or ugly paint jobs, tall steerers, massive stacks of spacers, big mudguards. They're the Ronhill Trackster of the cycling world. I also think many of them are over priced for what they are.

I've recently built a ti gravel bike and unlike the OP didn't overly care where the frame was made (as the majority of ti frames come from 1 or 2 factories in china with the best quality and expertise). That said the kinesis frames are made in china and the reason i decided not to go with them as they were only offering a 2 year guarantee on their titanium frames. Which is unacceptably short for any bike frame in my opinion.

In the end i decided to go with a J Guillem Attalaya (it's the same guy who set up Saint Nicholas titanium). https://jguillem.com/bike/atalaya-gravel It's not the lightest but it's fairly bomb proof, comes with a lifetime guarantee, had the right geometry i was looking for, doesn't look like a gate and has nice hidden cable routing. Not all necessarily things everyone would want but it was what i was looking for.
