Hey ( sure some of you have seen my posts, appologies for posting so many times with similar questions),

So I like the Merida Scultura(https://99spokes.com/en-GB/bikes/merida/2021/scultura-rim-100)  but I've also been told that the 105 groupset is a big step up from the Merida's Claris set. For a similar price (when they're in stock) you can get the laterite 4 (https://99spokes.com/en-GB/bikes/pinnacle/2021/laterite-4). So I guess I have 2 questions.

1. Which one would you pick? And why?

2. How different is the 105 groupset to the claris? (other than more gears)

Thanks

I would definitely buy 105 over claris.

Its a great groupset that shifts really well and stays shifting well. It's light and strong. There will be more futureproofing to it.

It will also be more enjoyable if you get into cycling. Having more gears can help you choose the right one fit the terrain without either having to push too hard or slow down and spin easy

Of course you'll have to suffer the indignation of those of use that had 5 speed and that was goid enough! I love having 11 now.

If you can get the merida with 105... Asper other thread, then I'd do that
