I needed to replace some of the ballbearings in my shimano pedal which was easy enough and I adjusted the cone/locknut correctly. After riding I noticed the pedal was stiff so I reopened to find the cone/locknut had both screwed in tighter. Can anyone give me some advice please?

Not 100% familiar with the internals of Shimano pedals (are we talking SPD or road ?) but It probably had thread lock on it to stop that happening, unless you have missed a spacer or washer out ?

I didn't notice any thread lock but I was wondering this myself, not had this issue with servicing hubs so am not certain
