I’m planning to replace my old 10 speed Ultegra groupo with R800. Can anyone advise specialist tools that I would need or would make the job easier? I’m going to get a workstand and torque wrench for a start

The only possible special you may need (depending on type) is bottom bracket tool and maybe a chain splitter.

cassette tool and chain whip too if changing rear coggage. front mech cable alignment tool but prob get one in the box with the group set. Decent wire cutters and hex keys will just about do it then. Perhaps a pedal spanner but most have hex socket as well as spanner flats so may get away with a hex key (bit of pipe slipped on it for extra leverage)

Best tool i’ve ever bought for my bikes is a stand - easy, cheap, fast and does the job perfectly.

oh, you may need new bar tape for after you’ve changed the levers

Duh, forgot cassette tool, as for a front mech alignment tool it’s called 2mm !

Thanks that’s all good news, there doesn’t seem any point in changing the bottom bracket cups

Wiggle have a tool kit for £29 that has almost all of the tools you need for basic maintenance. Aldi sometimes sell the same kit for £19. They are OK for occasional jobs. If you haven't already got a bike stand the Aldi one is a bargain.

Thanks, I’ve just ordered the Aldi work stand, looks brilliant for £25

Not for clearance of the chain, it’s for routing of the cable. I found it straightforward and logical enough with it though

Some disposable gloves and a pack of these - https://bigwipes.com/product/heavy-duty/

Good for cleaning chains too.
