Still on my old faithfulls - bike on left is 7 years old, bike on right is 3 years old.
Bike on right looks and rides better with wheels from bike on left but not practical for everyday riding.

Last year's Yosemite trip means it will be a couple of years before it's new bike time for The Ent.

Pinarello Prince (03) with Record and Cosmic Carbones, now in the annual winter strip down (sort of like Marc C's nesting of the gear)

Ragley tourer

Cinelli Experience training bike for at the burd's

Redline BMX I don't use on account of being too old, too crap and hanging around bike parks is a bit "Jimmy Saville"

Random track bike purloined from Bambi and resident at my mates chalet in Beuafort for the time being.

All I need now is the bloody time to ride one of them!

As of today everything nothing, one way back from work rear free hub body on road bike just let go, which i need to replace asap, roady is custom built rare as rocking horse shit 853 Guyzer

then i have cove g spot freeride as in profile picture which is in pieces as am going to get paint removed and checked for cracks and powder coated over winter

also i have partially built steel inbreed 29 er, but need to get some new spokes as localish bike shop sold me ones which were a mm or so too short so need to strip down and rebuild wheels again this weekend, should be running for monday.

I also have a cannondale hardtail frame which horatio on here chopped in for an exchange of a turner 5 spot i used to own, he polished it up and a local paintshop professionally lacquered it it looks well mint.

I'm probably going to build a downhill rig next spring for next summers alpine adventures.

I don't want to look like I'm trying *too* hard. Rule 40 [1] is optional in my book. Rule 5 is the compulsory one.

Me too. Great bike, although mine is the stock spec with Mavic Askiums.

Also got a Cube X Race Pro, a Genesis Altitude 10, and lurking in the back of my shed and rarely used is my 2004 Specialized Enduro. It got a lot of use until two years ago when I got my Genesis, and now I've got a road and a CX I rarely ride anything that would challenge the Enduro...

I've got the Aksium's, and got the black VN bartape put on (can't stand the white). I've also got a pair of these for it:

I share them with my 9 sp Tricross. Light and tough as hell..and promotes the use of the word 'flange', whch is only to be encouraged...

For DH: a Scott Gambler 2008, it's a tanke for sure but an agile one!
For Enduro: a Kona Coiler 2005, solid steel eehhhm aluminium!
For the streets: a Chesini Olympiade 80's. that is solid steel!

ride on!

Old skool Orange P7, Deore kit, some Mavic wheels.

4 antiques in various stages of restoration, details on request and probably enough old frames and spares to build a few more bikes as well. Yes I'm a bike hoarder.

Got fond memories of my old Proflex 954 & 957

(not such great memories of rock hard elastomers on the 954!)

> I'm not too proud to own up to riding a Giant Defy with Sora shifters.

How are you finding the shifters? Annoyed you can't reach the thumb button from the drops yet? Have the same on my Boardman, have been having some issues with the left a bit, but it seems we have finally reached an 'understanding' Now I just need to try and sort the squeaky brake!
 lost1977 22 Nov 2012
In reply to TobyA:

have you tried moving the brake/shifter a slight move may make all the differance
 TobyA 22 Nov 2012
In reply to lost1977: It's a well known thing with Sora. Just bad/weird design. They've changed it now, next years will be basically the same as the 105 design. My old road bike had cheap end Campag shifters that also had the thumb button, but that was easily reached from the drops. So it can be done, Shimano just didn't for reasons I suspect were most likely to do with hitting a price point.
 GrahamD 22 Nov 2012
In reply to TobyA:

Because its the first road bike I've had, I found the whole shift cum brake thing taking some getting used to. Its only now I've been using it for a couple of years that I'm starting to notice it (now my wife has upgraded her bike ).

What I find more noticeable is how much better the resting hand position is on top of the brake on the better / newer shifters - much more of a pronounced grip.

Giant Boulder MTB with uprated bits (wheels brakes, bars etc)

Trek 1000 road bike (uprated wheels and drivetrain) - more than boss enough for me

Gary Fisher ramp BMX - not ridden for about 10 years (as someone said above, hanging at bike parks in your 30's is a bit Jimmy Saville)

Original Raleigh Burner (1983 version) mag wheels, original tyres and tubes, all stickers still intact etc...

Have done c.3,000 miles on it this year and I have to say it's superb. Electronic shifting is definitely worth the money and not a gimmick.

my current road bike is

giant defy advance , but have stripped out the Shimano group set and fitted sram , this is because i much prefer sram , and they are lighter , also swapped the wheels for some mavics which i must add a really good and are super light for the cost . .

After taking my 12 year old touring bike that I bought for 300 quid when I was 16 over some of the bike alpine cols last summer I decided I needed a new bike... so just got myself a second hand 2010 trek 1.7 with 105/ultegra. Wont be able to ride it till spring though when I'm fully recovered from hip surgery!
