On a family holiday on Arran next week....and will need to escape at times! No space for a mat in the car. Any boulderers on Arran I could borrow a mat from? Or meet up with?

IIRC there are some boulders on a beach at the bottom of Arran with some reasonable flat sandy landings. Kildonan Boulders maybe? sort of make it up as you go along place which would do you a bit of pootling around.

Cats stone at Corrie has good landings and has been trained on without mats for decades. Probably the best granite roadside boulder. 

The Kildonan stuff is good although a bit out the way. I'm over with the family end of June and plan to take the kids there.

Thanks for the tips. Those spots look nice. Have ironed the Tetleys beer towel in preparation.
