There are loads of people taking drugs and climbing, not sure how much a spliff before setting off helps with the old performance enhancement though.

As referenced in the paper under Mortimer & Rosen 2014 "Valley Uprising" and partly explains why the UIAA has taken the ethical stance that has been adopted after much thought and discussion
