The annual BMC Cymru Wales Funday and AGM is on November 24th at the Beacon Climbing Centre Caernarfon. Lots of free coaching and instruction, evening talk by the BMC boss Dave Turnbull on his recent Himalayan adventure, free food, a bar (you pay for the beer!!). The Beacon are even offering concessionary entry rates for BMC members (bring your card) on the day.

Many thanks to all the instructors and coaches who are giving their time completely for free- Mark Reeves of http://snowdoniamountainguides.com/ Rebecca Williams of Smart Climbing http://www.smartclimbing.co.uk/ and Ross Worthington from Raw Adventures -http://www.raw-adventures.co.uk/

In reply to Elfyn Jones: The 'Conquer your fear of falling' sessions are now full but I will keep a reserve list. There is still some availability on the others but it's filling fast.

In reply to Elfyn Jones:

Despite the rain and the floods - the Beacon is unaffected and this event will certianly be running on Saturday. With more rain forecast, what better place to be than the the BMC Cymru/Wales Funday - nice and dry, good entertainment, free food and beer (beer not free but all donations for beer go to the North Wales Bolt fund and the BMC's Access & Conservation Trust!!)

In reply to efrance24234:

The food and talk are for people who turn up for the meeting at 6pm - that's the whole point of the day. The food and talk are there to encourage as many as possible to attend and have their say in the way the BMC represents the interests of climbers and hill-walkers in Wales. The "meeting" part of the day is really quite interesting (honestly!)and the BMC can only be genuinely representative if members turn up and express opinions at Area Meetings..
