Access to this crag is still severely restricted - there is no agreed access to the central (Great Wall) section. Discussions are underway with the new owners of the central section to allow access for climbing and there are some very positive developments -but in the meantime please do not climb on this section!

In addition on Monday July 24th, the farmer who owns the top of the land and allows us access to park on his land and to approach the crag from above got in touch because the gate leading to the parking spot had been left open and his sheep escaped on to nearby roads and village. He has been incredibly accommodating and supporting of climbers on his land - without his cooperation there would be no chance of ever getting access to this crag. As a result of the gate being left open, he spent over two hours recovering his stock and missed out on the good weather to get his silage in. Allowing us to climb on his land has directly cost him time and money. There were four cars there that day - a couple of Audis, a Peugeot and a VW polo and its highly likely that one of these climbers somehow left the gate open (walkers only use the kissing gate). Please be very aware that any further issues here will undermine the current access and undoubtedly prevent any other access gains and legal access to this crag (which is teasingly within reach) will become an impossible task.

The situation will be updated on the BMC RAD -

In reply to Elfyn Jones:

Thanks, Elfyn. It never ceases to amaze how incredibly thoughtless some of us (climbers) can be!
