Llangattock Escarpment (Chwar Pant y Rhiw)

I've been up to llangattock twice now. Once walking and once bouldering.

There looks to be some good, if a bit loose, routes. I also saw what looked like some recent bail gear half way up the crag.

I'm tempted to head up with the rack but have heard many horror stories about the local farmer. I have also heard that that particular farmer is no longer around and that its may no longer be an issue?

Does anyone know the current situation?

In reply to aceagles:

The local farmer who I understand was a tennant died quite a few years ago. The whole area is owned by the Brecon Beacon National Park and there are no access issues. There are hundreds of routes of all grades. Some do have a fair bit of looseness at the top.

There are some really good routes to take a rack up for.

Martin Crocker produced an update a few years ago that can be accessed via the Climbers Club Website.
