There's a nesting tawny owl in the blocks 3-4m up at the start of Pig Traverse with at least 1 egg in the nest - there's no signs up anywhere though, should there be? Do I need to notify NT or a BMC access rep? Thought this is the one best place to ask. Pig Traverse (HS 4b)

There was a sign right under the wall last year so imagine they're aware. Can't hurt to drop NT / BMC an email though.

Emailed NT, thanks. Just want to be sure that some signs get put up soon by someone.

Quick update, NT replied to my email and they are putting signs out today, so the owls should be safe. Hurrah! Apparently they're quite early to nest this year, but hardly surprising given the mild winter.

I think it is more "so the climbers should be safe" - you really don't want to be pissing off a tawny owl near its nest.

Regardless - excellently done on taking prompt action on this.
