Although access to Thorny Bank Hill Quarry isn’t permitted, since the bad weather earlier this week, road closures from Richmond and Leyburn towards Reeth have meant traffic has increased past the quarry.
Parking further up the road from the main gate is still suggested. With the left hand traditional routes (as good as some of them are) being visible from the road, they will receive a good few more onlookers.
