I really liked the first one, but is a remake necessary?

Getting poor reviews.

The first was fairly pish TBH.
My favourite comment about it came from Kevin Bacon during an interview that was also a retrospective on his characters in 5 or 6 selected films over the years. All he could say about Flatliners was "oh man.....well there's not much to say about me in that, I was just kind of IN it"

It wasn't a classic but it's grown on me over the years. And about Kevin Bacon, Flatliiners was before he good.

Doesn't that sum up his career in film?

Well lol etc. I don't get the current Footloose obsession, it was crap at the time and it's still crap.

How does he compare to Dennis?

In reply to aln:

Poorly but then doesn't everyone?

You know Dennis was in the remake of Footloose, right.

I thought this post would be about the Labour Party conference.

I don't use this hideous acronym often, but, OMG! There's a Footloose remake?
 Blue Straggler 28 Sep 2017
In reply to aln:
Yeah from about 5 years ago. I didn't see it.

I've never knowingly seen all of the original, not from beginning to end. I think I've only seen the "chicken" scene on the tractors

If you ever get involved in trying to resuscitate after a cardiac arrest, one of the first things you learn is that if a patient has a flat ecg tracing ( a flatline) there is no coming back and they are going to die. Also, near death experiences are just that and are of no relevance in understanding what happens when we die. I saw the original film and considered it utter tosh, I shall not bother with the remake.

I noticed this on rotten tomatoes and its rating was 4% or something.

Well worth missing it seems.

Cheers
