If you're interested in US politics, I recommend reading "If only they didn't speak English" by Jon Sopel, the BBC North America Correspondent. The book records his analysis of the US - and how much it differs from the UK - based on his experiences during the Trump campaign and presidency. Not only is it a very entertaining read, it's useful to be reminded of some of the strange stuff that has happened. The phrase "No, really" is used quite a lot. My favourite story is one about the White House press spokesman hiding in the rose-bushes so that he wouldn't have to try to explain something the POTUS had just said.
