.........for a TV mini series to be better than any feature film in the genre.?
I think Lonesome Dove and Deadwood say that it is.

I thought True Detective 2 was pretty damn good too. And Game of Thrones beat Lord of the Rings for me so I think the answer to Tom V's question is yes.

I only got into True Detective 2 the other week and Sky took it off their movies after I'd watched a couple of episodes

I enjoyed season 2 of True Detective, but it was nowhere near as awesome as season 1

For the sake of being argumentative, one might hold that it'd be unnatural if they weren't, given the opportunities for plot and character development afforded by running times three or four (or more) times those of most films

I watched the first two series and liked it but have put it on hold now that there doesn't seem much chance of Sandra driving up to Bavella, strapping a harness on and leading the crux pitch of Dos d'Elefant.
