Does the man feel pain?

Why do you never see any police or law enforcement in any of the chapters?

You may as well ask why NASA doesn’t feature in Star Wars. 😂

In reply to Stichtplate:

NASA is a lot closer to John Wick, than a galaxy far, far away.

And long, long ago.

That's a fair point with any film or TV shows where lots of crime is being committed. If it isn't a crime show the police never appear. Murders, shootings, petrol stations blowing up, no police.

To be fair, in real life police rarely turn up while a crime is actually in progress.

Maybe Austerity has made it to Hollywood?

Good point.

Given that many crimes only take a few seconds that would be a pretty fast response rate.

The police rarely turn up after a crime has been committed.

I heard he onsight soloed Indian Face in an old pair of EBs (with socks on obvs) when he was still an Assassin to get into a good sniping position as his target was on the Snowdon Railway.

FFS, its a comic book. Plus you need to pay attention. e.g. Chapter 1 where Jimmy (cop) knocks on the door  "You... 'working' again?

Dude, like, be excellent to eachother.

In reply to The Lemming:

Because it is totally divorced from reality and barely watchable pap? (based on seeing the first film only)

But strangely in the future....

Pretty sure nobody ever eats, sleeps or goes to the toilet either.

In reply to The Lemming:

First film after the fight in his house, copper shows up at his door due to reports of gunfire, says something like "you working again john".

Safe to assume they are aware/involved in the criminal world but stay out of it?

Coronation Street. The majority of the characters nowadays seem to have done jail time and the Weatherfield polls have regular walk on parts. Dangerous place, I’m definitely not moving there.

John Travolta went to the toilet in Pulp Fiction and look what happened to him.

Rick Sanchez regularly announces he's off to take a shit - though I think it's yet to be shown

Weatherfield sounds safer than rural Oxfordshire where Barnaby invstigates 2.6  slaughterings per episode, on a par with Chile in terms of murders per million.

I've seen the odd film where this gets shown. It has yet to make me clamour for more
